Year 8 Geography
Content of the Curriculum
The Year 8 course explores a range of physical and human geography themes. The spatial learning scale and sense of place is broadened through the study of issues from a wider world. There is a focus upon developing and extending their written skills, empowering students to write engaging, purposeful and thorough answers.
Students develop further their geographical skills.

Assessment Opportunities
Students are assessed throughout the course by a variety of assessment opportunities both in class and as homework tasks. Grades achieved will provide evidence of progress of the student towards their end of Key Stage target. Each topic will also be assessed more formally in an end of unit test.
