Component 1 - coursework - 30% of total mark
Exploring User Interface Design Principles and Project Planning Techniques
Students will investigate, plan/design and develop a working user interface for a game/computer program.
Component 2 - coursework - 30% of total mark
Collecting, Presenting and Interpreting Data.
Students will collect and manipulate data using a dashboard they have designed to enable them to draw conclusions from the data.
Component 3 - 1 hour and 30 minutes external exam - 40% of total mark
A synoptic exam based on theories learned through components 1 and 2 including how to use technology responsibly. In this component, students will also learn about how organisations can use technology safely and about the cyber security issues when working in a digital organisation.
